‘Fragile’ Collection

Fragile is a long-term project that will address the many facets of this word, documenting how the intervention of Terre des Hommes Italia unfolds in the various countries and continents, starting with India (in the State of Tamil Nadu), where children with HIV/AIDS, or mental disabilities are helped, children and girls born with severe disabilities, either adopted or helped by specialized personnel, girls who have been sexually abused or who have been saved from early marriages and forced labour and weary.

‘Le Bambine Salvate’ Collection

‘Le Bambine Salvate’ is a photographic project by Stefano Stranges that tells the stories of five girl victims of rape and forced marriage. It is originally hosted in the reception homes run by Terre des Hommes in Tamil Nadu. The photographer wanted to visit the villages personally where the girls, who were rescued by infanticide, now live a ‘new’ life; thanks to the charitable work of Mr. Chezian and Terre des Hommes – Core India. Since 1997 to date, the number of girls rescued from infanticide and gender-based violence has peaked to more than 1500.
